It usually starts on the 2nd or 3rd kick when cold and on the first kick after that. I will go check the spark plug and stator cover after dinner. I pulled the plug and the top portion of the center and side electrodes were a very light brown/grey color and the rest of it was a darker wet black color like its getting too much fuel and oil.

carb related probably, but could be a stator also pop off the exhaust and look at the cylinder and clean out any carbon and spooge, jr50’s are known to lmost completly close up on the exhaust port and will cause problems similar to what you are describing, and if womeone dumps regular auto oil in the pre-mix bottle it is for sure to happen,

Pull the hose off and allow all the old gas to poor into a bucket. Point the carburetor cleaner spray can into the side hole of the carburetor and spray it for 10 to 20 seconds.
