The check engine light turned ON and “ESP Malfunction see repair service” came on dashboard and car dose not accelerate. When the car is on and we leave the gear to Park or Neutral, the RPM oscillating and make hum hum hum noise.

How often do I get a faulty ESP warning?
Only now it has come back twice in the past 3-4 months or so. So yes, STAR is absolutely needed, although unless it comes back all the time, it is generally not an urgent problem. Before the errors were cleared, I got this warning about 4-6 times in about 5 months time or so iirc.

What to do if your ESP is not working?
The manual tells you to turn the steering lock-to-lock to (I guess) reset the steering angle – I did this and it got rid of the warning and has not come back again. (that is, the ‘ESP not available, see manual’ fault, by the way).

Why does my ESP go out when I Turn Off the ignition?
