The transmission fluid dipstick is similar to the oil dipstick, while the oil dipstick measures the level of the car’s engine oil, transmission dipsticks measure the level of transmission fluid in your vehicle. Keep in mind many transmission troubles are due to low fluid levels.

When you check your oil, if it is dirty or smells of gasoline, it’s time for your oil to be changed. What does a dipstick test for coolant look like?

Why do I have water droplets on my dipstick?
Decided to take a look at the oil and noticed water droplets all up the dipstick. The oil did not look milky or anything but there was clear water droplets all over the dipstick. Part of it I believe is my driving situation.
