Why does my Nissan QX56 battery not charge?
Also replaced the oem substandard “quality parts” alternator with a 270 amp mechman alternator. The nissan oem alternator is not capable of providing a full charge to the battery- ever-. Upgraded the battery cables to 2 ga. With soldered connections. The oem, crimped cables are not even capable of providing minimum required system amperage.

Went round to storage to collect caravan and battery was less than 10v so could not use motor mover. Towed caravan round to house and charged battery. Full charge when disconnected but hours later fuse had blown and battery had lost charge. Any answers to why or what could be causing this. So far fuse has blown twice.

So fyi – there are 5 fuses on the positive battery terminal in addition to the three fuse panel locations. Can someone please tell me what is suppose to go to the second lug on the terminal?

Long story short, blown the fuse that is located on the battery wires that connect to the battery. Was sold the wrong battery wasn’t paying attention put negative to positive and vice versa.
