What causes vibration in the clutch of a car?

What causes vibration in the clutch of a car?

In order to operate properly, all the contact surfaces of the clutch assembly must be smooth and flat, including the clutch disc. If the clutch disc becomes warped due to wear or overheating, it will not engage smoothly with the flywheel and pressure plate. This results in chattering, vibration and clutch pedal pulsation.

What causes the clutch pedal to vibrate when you release the flywheel?

The diaphragm spring controls the amount of pressure applied to the pressure plate and clutch disc, and seats them against the flywheel. If the diaphragm spring is damaged or broken, this causes the clutch plate to engage the flywheel unevenly when applied or released, which in turn causes vibration and pulsation of the clutch pedal.

Why does my clutch pedal make a noise?

If the clutch disc becomes warped due to wear or overheating, it will not engage smoothly with the flywheel and pressure plate. This results in chattering, vibration and clutch pedal pulsation.

What makes the torsion springs on a clutch vibrate?

As the torsion springs do their duty to absorb vibrations through gear shifts, there are several cone springs, friction washers and a friction plate to keep the torsion springs from vibrating themselves.

When does vibration occur on a Harley Davidson?

The vibration only occurs when in gear, in neutral you can rev it to the top, release the throttle and it comes down smooth as silk. I have had the bike in 3 different Harley dealer shops and none of them know or seem to care what the problem is. If I cannot solve the problem I have to get another ride.
