Why does my power steering pump make a noise?
A leaking water pump or power steering pump is common for that. Especially the water pump, since the noise goes away after a few minutes. If replacing the belt did not make any difference right after you replaced it, then it is not a belt problem. Maybe one of the idler pulleys or the belt tensioner.
