A clicky type torque wrench would fit as well. This is a must have for doing ball joints. Needed this for doing the ball joints on my 77 Ford F-150 with a Dana 44. READ the little instructions that come with the new ball joints. The new moog joints I put in said the adjustment sleeves need to be torqued to 70ftlbs.
What kind of ball joint Spanner do I Need?
The tool fits the original adjusting sleeve (in an ’85 K5 Blazer, military model aka M1009), but the teeth aren’t sized right for the adjusting sleeve that came with my new upper ball joint (I think a Moog?). I could have tried to modify this tool to make it fit, but instead I just reused the original adjusting sleeve.
