Is there vacuum before throttle body?
Typically, at idle or part throttle (cruise), you will see proportionally more vacuum on the engine side of the throttle body, however as you approach wide open throttle, vacuum will start approaching 0 as the restriction created by the throttle body is removed.
What does mass air flow sensor do?
The mass air flow (MAF) sensor, part of your vehicle’s electronic fuel injection system, is responsible for calculating the total amount of air entering the engine. A contaminated or failed mass air flow sensor cannot measure the amount of air flow correctly.
Where does vacuum hose from throttle body go?
Missing Vacuum Hose from Throttle Body on VT.. where does this go? a LPG back fire I can’t find the hose nor where does the other end connect too? Does any one have any idea?. when the engine runs it sucks extra air in through this pipe… on a hose and connect to where it should be. any help is appreciated.
What happens when you have a big vacuum leak?
If you have a big vacuum leak, you can often experience a rough, high or low idle RPM. This is because the throttle body is trying to get a stable idle by opening and closing the throttle. If you have a major vacuum leak, the throttle body will get problems trying to control it and it will result in strange idle symptoms 2. Rough/Slow Acceleration
Why does a vacuum leak cause rough idle?
Large vacuum leaks can also cause high or rough idle because the throttle body is controlling the idle RPM and when you have a vacuum leak, the engine will suck air from the leak and the throttle body will have problems controlling the idle properly.
Where is the purge hose on a VTV?
your A/C vacum supply line runs of the rear of intake chamber facing the fire wall . the purge hose under the throttle body is another problem hoses when on gas , fix is to remove this three peice hose and fit one piece of rubber vacum hose from throttle body to purge soleniod .

What do you need to know about throttle bodies?
Throttle bodies today are mostly electronically controlled, where this throttle body is mechanical. It includes input for TPS and MAP sensors, as well as routing for the IAC valve, and a idle adjustment screw.
