There has to be a way to fix it. We have replaced the trans twice (at hondas request),5 angel sensors (at hondas request), the wire harness (at hondas request), speed sensor, battery , the switch that selects D1-D2-ESP, shift motor, ecu, I think neutral sensor. American Honda also tells me they never had a problem with the transmission.

The problem is caused by very heavy, stiff, gummy grease that was installed in the shift motor gears at the factory. Once that grease is removed and replaced with a different grease, you’ll be back to shifting normally! So, here’s how you replace that grease: Remove the shift motor and gears (all one piece) from the lower front of your engine.

Disconnect the linkage at the transmission and move the shift actuator by hand to see if there is the same things happening. Don’t try to do this with the engine running unless someone is holding the brake inside the car. You can’t post conmments that contain an email address.
