Is there a problem with the Honda rancher 420?

Why does my Honda rancher not start up?
My Rancher does the same thing your talking about, and it does it often. Once it would start clicking, I would take a screwdriver and loosen and tighten and move the battery cables around on the terminals. 100% of the time, it was the cable connections at the battery.
Where is the start button on a Honda rancher?
When the start button is pressed .. All I get is clicking under the seat in the battery area.. The battery is fully charged and all connections are tight.. Sometimes it starts with the button though !!!!
Can a shift sensor go out on a Honda rancher?
Yes, the Angle Sensor does sometimes go out, it can come loose, stop working or get disconnected, but with that said, more times than not, it’s usually a problem that is inside the shift control case where the shift reduction gears are and also where the electric shift “control motor” mounts.

What was the problem with my Honda rancher?
We had this problem right out of the box, took it in and they tested everything and recharged the battery ( 05 Rancher AT ). It still wouldn’t start at times, then somebody on a ride suggested we had a bad ground on the frame. During the 3 day ride we jerry rigged a new ground, never had another problem.
