Is there a problem with my Saab 9-3 vector?
I have an 03 9-3 Vector saloon. Yesterday, having unlocked the car as usual using the fob at the start of a journey, I found I couldn’t lock it remotely, nor would it subsequently unlock remotely. I locked it manually, changed the fob battery and it unlocked remotely, but won’t lock. Nor can I manually lock the driver’s door.

Why does my Remote not work on my Saab?
If you push the remote button more than 5 times out of range of the car (or when there is possible radio interference) it will become de-synchronised to the car and will not work remotely until it has been placed into the ignition switch.

Where is the soft top located on a Saab 9-3 cabriolet?
The sixth bow (9) joint is located where the soft top mechanism (12) is mounted to the body and is operated and secured by two hydraulic cylinders, one on each side. The sixth bow is made of aluminium. When closed, the soft top is locked to the windscreen member with rotating locking hooks (14) on both sides.
