Is there a problem opening the rear hatch?
My new ML350 has worked flawlessly for the past several months but lately there seems to be a problem with the rear door. I press the button on the remote and also the interior control and the latch releases but the door won’t come up – I have to do it manually.
Why is the hatch not working on my Mercedes?
Additional positions created by opening and closing manually may eventually “confuse” the memory and it won’t work at all. As I said, I only use the cabin lever or remote button to open the hatch and the remote or “Stop” button on the hatch itself to close it and I have not had a single failure since.

Why is the liftgate not working on my Mercedes ML350?
If you manually close the tailgate, will the latch lock and pull the tailgate tighter? A bit of history. Shortly after I bought the vehicle, the liftgate stopped working. When I would push the remote lift button, it would disengage the latch but not lift. Then the latch would re-engage and shut tight.
Where is the rear end door control unit?
You are going to have to disconnect the rear end door control unit. Its located by the spare tire, under the carpeted panel. I’ll attach a picture. Having trouble locating it, even with the picture. Remove the spare tire and pop a few of the clips holding that carpet

How does the tailgate open on a Lexus RX350?
I have a 2007 Lexus rx350 the tailgate will open using inside button but not on the tail gate switch however it will close using the close button on the tailgate. I replaced the tailgate open switch but no change.
What do you do when the hatch won’t open?
Turn the lever to the right position using a flat-head screwdriver or a similar tool. Then the rear gate will open. Way too complicated. Push the rear cover back and make sure the pull is out of the way. Laughing at Oneself and with Other is good for the Soul?

A few problems: the battery died one month after I purchased. Recently the rear hatch won’t fully open (it stayed half-way) and today it’s even worse – after closing it, it will NOT open anymore.
