Hello All, Just bought a bare bones 4wd lx 2011. I tried to do a search regarding wether this model is a “front wheel drive” model with a four wheel drive mode, or is it an “all wheel drive” model with the four wheel drive mode? Can’t really get an answer from the dealer.

Is there a transfer case for a Honda Pilot?
It has no transfer case and can’t be driven while locked over 18mph where I could drive my blazer in 4hi on snow covered roads with no problems, they say the vtm4 kicks in when you need it but who knows all I know is that when driving I’d prefer to have a transfer case but I hope the pilot can handle the winter in nj this year
What does the VTM-4 button do on a Honda Pilot?
The rear engages during several conditions. 1) Pushing the VTM-4 button locks the clutches up until 6 mph is reached, then decreases clutch engagement until full disengagnement at 18 mph. This is only for getting unstuck. Never turn when in this mode on dry pavement.
