Is the front windshield washer working or not?

Is the front washer the same as the back washer?
The back works fine. I know the switch for the forward washer in the turn signal assembly is good because I can hear it activate the washer relay. Switched relays just in case, no effect. I’m guessing the pump in the reservoir is bi-directional and is only pumping when the rear washer is activated but not the front.

If you have a volt meter, check for 12VDC across the pump connector. The black wire on both pumps is ground; the other wire should have +12VDC. In other words, put your “plus” voltmeter lead on the colored wire’s pin and the “minus” or ground voltmeter lead on the black wire’s pin.

For a really quick fix I just used plumbing tape wrapped tight. Then put a little black tape around. Can’t believe it worked ha ha. Will still need to get it sorted though. my pipe snapped seems common on these so i put a 5mm plastick pipe into it job done and still working a year on
