For these more simple tasks, we recommend the following tools as a good starting point:
- Allen® wrench set (ranging from 2-12mm in size)
- Open end wrenches (6-17mm)
- Chain brush.
- Chain lube and cleaner.
- Clean rags.
- Tire levers.
- Tubes (at least a couple spares)
- Tube patch kit.
How do you fix an old rusty bike?
Simply use a wire brush to remove loose rust and then leave it to soak. Parts that are detachable such as the bell, chain, or pedals can be submerged in Jenolite Rust Remover. Simply leave to soak and use a wire brush to work the product in. Make sure you wear gloves to avoid irritation.
