Why is there no fuel going to the fuel tank?
Another logical cause could be the fuel pump. If the fuel pump is electric, the 12-volt power may be shorted. A hole in the fuel line on the tank side could also cause the fuel pump to suck air instead of fuel from the fuel tank.
Why does my Deutz f3l1011 not start?
If you are getting fuel to the inlet side of the nozzle there is something not allowing the high pressure to build. Usually this is a helix covered by the fuel shutoff not allowing injection cycle to occur. If you could post a photo of what you have it may be helpful.
How are the fuel lines connected to the fuel pump?
There are 3 hoses connected to the fuel pump, two of the hoses are fuel lines and one is the pulse line. You may have a bad fuel pump or cracks in one of the 3 hoses connected to the fuel pump. See image below.
Why is fuel not flowing to my riding mower?

Why does my scooter not run on fuel?
Fuel flow problems can be caused by a clogged fuel filter, a clogged fuel line, a faulty fuel supply valve or a faulty fuel pump (on those scooters that use one). One way to bypass all these components is to rig up a temporary gravity fed fuel flow directly to the carburetor.
Why is the fuel not getting to the carburetor?
1. Fuel tank empty. 2. Fuel cap or fuel tank not venting properly. 3. Fuel filter clogged with rust or dirt. 4. Vacuum line to fuel valve clogged, cracked, pinched, bent, broken, or missing* 5. Faulty vacuum line switch/relay 6. Petcock clogged or diaphragm cracked, cut or torn* 6.

If that hose has a sprial wireing on it on the END of it should be a SCREW that shuts off the gas from draining. If it doesn’t you lost the shutoff screw, you can get a GOLD tee and stick it in the hole and tape it on or you can bend the hose and zip tie it bent so fuel does not come out or get another screw for it.
Why do carbs spit gas back in air box?
It could be caused by the choke plungers not seating properly in their bores. Those are the ones on the left side of the carb. Take them out and make sure there is no corrosion on them or in the bore itself.
What are the symptoms of a too rich carburetor?
Too Rich. When a vehicle is running rich, the fuel-to-air ratio is off because the carburetor is delivering too much gasoline. Typical symptoms of a rich mixture are: Poor fuel economy. Sluggish acceleration. Choke not needed from cold starts. Sooty or black spark plugs.
When to know if your carburetor is running lean?

After this, consider pulling the vent out and sucking through it. This will help to clear blocks in the vent if any. What Happens If my Golf Cart Runs Out of Gas?
How do you check the pressure of a fuel pump?
If equipped with a mechanical fuel pump, remove the fuel line to the carburetor and connect a fuel gauge to the fuel pump. This should yield a low pressure, under 20-psi when the engine is cranked over. Check the mechanical fuel pump by placing a fuel line into a gas can and attach the other end to the intake of the fuel pump.
What should fuel pressure be on electric carburetor?
Connect a fuel pressure gauge to the Shrader valve if the vehicle has an electric fuel pump. Turn on the key and monitor the fuel pressure, it should be around 60-psi. If equipped with a mechanical fuel pump, remove the fuel line to the carburetor and connect a fuel gauge to the fuel pump.

Can a fuel pump cause a carburetor to flood?
The fuel pump is another possibility. If you have an electric pump be sure to have a regulator installed between the pump and the carburetor. Set it fo 4-5 lbs as per your motors manual. New fuel pumps are especially suspect. It isn’t unusual to have them pumping at 20 lbs of pressure.
How does gas get into the carburetor bowl?
Generally a small vacuum line is attached to the number one cylinder vacuum port. Every time the piston goes down, it creates a pulse of vacuum to allow gas to enter the carburetor bowl. Therefore, if your engine is not running due to a crash or being stored, no fuel should get from the tank to the carb.
What causes the carburetor on a GTO to flood?

Why does my carburetor keep filling up with water?
Fudging the float setting is covering up the real problem. Now the float could be causing the flooding. It might have a hole, or crack allowing it to fill up with gas. That makes it too heavy and will keep the needle open. To test your brass or plastic float, heat up water just prior to boiling and immerse the float in the water.
How often should a float needle be replaced in a carburetor?
Never use E85 (aka FlexFuel) in a carbureted motorcycle. E85 pump fuel contains 85% + Ethanol and will begin to damage parts in the carburetor that were never designed for this type of fuel. We always recommend replacing the float needle valve every 2-3 years or immediately following any prolonged storage where a fuel stabilizer was not used.
What happens when there is no fuel in the fuel pump?
This also verifies that the engine has no fuel pressure. Electric fuel pumps on electronically controlled fuel injection systems need to produce enough “high” pressure to allow the injectors to produce a sufficient spray of atomized fuel into the intake path (or into the combustion chamber in a direct-injection system).
What causes a car to not start with no gas?
Problem may be at wiring connector on top of fuel tank (hard to reach!). No gas in fuel tank (Check the fuel gauge, and keep in mind the gauge may not be reading accurately). Bad gas (Contaminated with water or too much alcohol or diesel fuel). If you just filled up with gas and now your car won’t start, suspect bad gas.
What should I do if my fuel pump is not working?
A clicking noise can be heard from each injector when they are working properly. I would recommend having a technician from YourMechanic try to start your vehicle with starter fluid. This should give the engine enough fuel to run long enough to see if the injectors are working correctly.
