How to reset the memory on a Jeep Grand Cherokee?
Matt Hardy : Try a “cap-discharge” to reset all the computers on the Jeep. Disconnect both battery cables from the battery. Then, connect the 2 cables together for 10 minutes. This will clear all the memories and remove any lingering charge. Then, reconnect the battery and retest the memory system.

The seat should not move when you press the set button. Possibly the 1-2-set switch is faulty.
