I have a 1993 Camry LE with 143,000 miles. About 30,000 miles ago the oil light starting coming on. still coming on. I can change the oil filter and the problem will go away for about 1,000 miles. again for about another 1,000 miles. Even using a extends the 1,000 mile to maybe 1,500 miles. Has anybody else had this problem? I have had one

Crank on the tensioner bolt to create some slack in the timing belt for easy removal. The idler is the smooth rounded pulley and must be removed to get to the oil pump. Use a wrench on the bolt in the center to remove the idler. Figure 9. Remove the idler to get access to the oil pump.
