How do you make a door lock hole deeper?
Using the appropriate-sized spade bit and an electric drill, cut the hole in the door frame about 1/4 inch deeper. Test the latch mechanism again. If the twist knob stops in the same position with the door opened and closed, the hole is deep enough. If not, use the drill to make the hole another 1/4 inch deeper.

I have an ’08 Altima 2.5s and two days ago, my driver’s side door lock stopped working in response to the remote, the keyless entry button on the door handle and the lock button on the inside. The only way to lock/unlock it is manually push the lock from the inside or use the key from the outside.

Why is the cowl not connecting to the driver side door?
