Are there any problems with the Jaguar S-type?

After 20 years things are starting to show up and need repairs. There are minor rust issues on some body parts and the headliner is scheduled for replacement in October by a custom interior shop locally.

If a nikasil engine is repeatedly exposed to high sulphur fuel (particularly during short journeys) the nikasil linings will deteriorate. Sooner or later this will result in engine failure. The good news is a) low sulphur fuel has been compulsory in the EU since 1st January 2000, and b) Jaguar stopped using nikasil in August/September 2000.
