Does 4WD have a fuse?
Registered. Since the Bravada is an AWD vehicle, it does not have a 4WD fuse. In a full 4×4 vehicle (Trailblazer or Envoy) that fuse powers the front disconnect actuator. The ATC fuse powers the TCCM (Transfer Case Control Module) and encoder motor brake.

It sounds like you hooked something up backwards, probably on the switch side. Pull the switch and check the power wire for continuity to ground. You can also do the same thing from the fuse block. remove the fuse and check continuity from each side of the fuse holder to ground.
