Do you need to replace seals on britpart Land Rover?
Britpart uses a smaller diameter retaining spring which does not come apart like the Land Rover seal spring does. If you have seals whose springs do not separate, you will need to either reuse the springs from the old seals or replace the seals per the workshop manual instructions.
When to replace the valves on a Land Rover Discovery?

How do you replace a swivel ball seal on a Land Rover?
Apply a good quality RTV between the edges of the cut. This is to fill any gap. Form a gasket would be good here. Set the seal in place with the cut section at the top. Add a little more RTV along the outside of the cut, fit the retaining ring and tighten carefully. If you over tighten the ring, you will distort the seal and cause it to leak.
