Yes, we could change the stations from the steering wheel. And the volume controls on the steering wheel still work. In fact only this one feature has stopped working. Called Nissan and will be taking the car in for repair. They had no other suggestions. Thanks for your input.
Why are my radio controls not working on my car?
Just a wild guess from afar but some of your symptoms sound like APIM failure more than ACM issues (the APIM aka ‘SYNC module’ is the ‘home’ of entertainment system touchscreen and other controls logic). The APIM is the module behind and plugged directly into your touchscreen; the ACM is the module with your ‘radio’ and CD changer.
