Do you need a different flasher for LED lights?
The reason most mechanical flashers can’t work with LEDs is that LEDs need a small amount of current flow, not enough to heat the internal strip and open the circuit. Another category is an electronic flasher with a ground wire for LEDs.
How to install LED turn signals on Harley Davidson Softail?
Run the wires from the new LED turns through the light bar stem and back to the tail light cavity. Make sure that the wires are well put into the hangers inside the fender to avoid rubbing against the tire. Use the supplied harness clips that came with your LED package and insert the wires into the proper slots.

Although some models use a separate light for the left and right turn indicators, other models use a single light for both turns. If your instrument panel has only one indicator light for both left and right, check the flasher unit. Some vehicle models combine the brake light, taillight and turn signal into one light bulb.

It’s easy to put that unit under your seat, by the shifter, etc. Make your own switch! Still others would like to run their turn signals with a simple toggle switch on the dash.
Can you use LED lights on turn signals?
Yes, LED bulbs will work on a vehicle even that old. A replacement flasher relay will be required for the turn signals. Unfortunately, we do not have any full vehicle kits. You would have to remove your original bulbs to see what is there and how many you will need to replace with LED bulbs.
