Can you roll start a fuel injected bike?
On some, no you can’t. On those you can, many are difficult. You usually push start a bike because the battery is dead, or too weak to turn the starter. On a fuel injected bike, you have you pressurize the fuel system, initiate the computer and sensors and have enough juice left over to fire the ignition system.
Do you need to warm up a fuel injected motorcycle?
No, it does not. For fuel injection engines, you don’t have to warm up your motorcycle for long – it could even damage your bike if you did. But that does not remove the need for a proper pre-ride warm-up.
Can you use starting fluid in a fuel injected engine?
No. Under no circumstances should you spray anything into the intake on a modern Electronic Fuel Injected car. There is a coating inside the intake that when contacted with solvents will melt into the engine and without it the intake will carode. Then said corrosion will also get in the engine.
How do you start a fuel injected bike?
Before i started it I took the gas tank off and dumped out every last drop of old gas, drained the fuel line, put in a new spark plug, new gas, charged the battery and it started on the first try. Well I’m just curious for bikes that did not have any stabilizer in them, would the injectors or lines gunk up?
What should I do if my motorcycle engine won’t start?
Drain the carbs if it’s not FI. Chances are that the fuel has evaporated and left some residue. If you didn’t drain the carbs it might be worth pulling the float bowls and run some carb cleaner through them and the jets. Also make sure the floats and float needles move freely so the engine doesn’t get drowned in fuel.
What’s the best way to start a motorcycle?
Start the engine. Squeeze and hold your clutch lever down (located on the left) and push the start button (located on the right). You should hear the blissful sound of your motorcycle cranking up.
Can a fuel injected bike last a long time?
The Sunoco will stay sweet for a very long time, especially if it’s not in contact with air. If I were to store an injected bike for any length of time, I’d be inclined to drain the pump gas that’s in it and add enough Sunoco leaded race fuel to run it for awhile and flush out the last of the pump gas.

Do you need a choke to start a motorcycle?
The dirtier the carburetor, or the colder the engine is, the more the choke will need to be engaged. You don’t need to use the choke lever when starting a motorcycle “hot.” If the motorcycle has been running and the engine is already hot, you won’t need as much power to get it going.
