I’m assuming you are looking at an ultra glide or a street with lower fairings. This is based on that assumption. Yes, the front cover comes off. Flap your fairing pocket doors open, remove the liner (if you have them). There is a nut inside there, towards the top. Remove that. The front cover comes off.
