Can you jack up a Nissan Maxima with a floor jack?
In the last gen. Altima several people mentioned jacking at the control arm/subframe connection (points A and B shown) like I do on my 1998 Maxima. But other people mention only to use point C, which doesn’t seem to have as much support despite it maybe being the actual FSM spot. Do they all work or is one more recommended?
Where can I use a floor jack to lift a car?
Not sure of a location that can be used in the back to lift from other than the pinch welds in front of the rear tires (but jack stands will go there so anyone know where else the car can be lifted using a floor jack?) Anyone gave this a go? Its called a Uni-Jack by Powerbuilt it has a bottle jack built into a jack stand.
Where is the front Jack Point on a Nissan?
FYI, I don’t know why, but there is an error on the illustration that shows the front jacking point. There is not much behind the plastic cover to support the weight of the front end. If you look a few inches towards the rear of the car after the plastic shield, there’s a metal frame/sub-frame that’ll do the job.
Where are the control arms on a Nissan Maxima?
Didn’t see it in the owners manual but I’m guessing the two optimal locations like my ’98 Maxima would be the control arms in the front and rear beam in the rear. Anyone know if these points can be used on the 2013-15 Altima’s? Click to expand… that was i was thinking of going with the lower control arm, since its the easiest without the adaptor.

Where are the garage jack points on a Nissan?
The owners manual and/or field service manual will show the location of the “garage” jack points. There are times when you may want to jack or place a jack stand under the pinch welds. To do that you will want an adapter to protect the pinch welds from collapsing.
