Can an exhaust leak cause a backfire?
Exhaust System Leaks. Exhaust backfires can also be the result of air leaks in the system. As oxygen content increases, it causes partially burn or unburned fuel entering the system to ignite loudly. The extra oxygen may come through a leak in the exhaust manifold gasket, an exhaust pipe sealing ring, or a damaged pipe …
What causes a 1994 Chevy C / K 1500 to bog down?
– CarGurus 1994 Chevy C1500 5.7 bogs/backfires when I give it gas. My truck bogs down (and tries to die) when I give it gas to accelerate off of a stop.
