How do you turn a car mirror inward?
Rotate the mirror down. It is not necessary to turn the mirror inward as it is not necessary to get fingers behind the mirror to release it. Look at the back top edge of the mirror and there is a wire spring. Use a small screwdriver (in fact anything long and narrow object would do) to push the wire spring forward and lift it up slightly.
