Do you know if the SDD V145 software will program a new key I don’t know. I have bought a new key fob from Volvo prior to going back to a Jaguar and programming was included in the price, but then Volvo’s are less stolen due to the dealers not letting the software into the public domain , as per EU instruction.

Just a quick update to the key cutting, if you own a 2016 on Xf (x260), the key programing is a big issue. In 2016 Jaguar Changed the process to help make it more difficult to steal there cars , in order to reprograme a key or keys you have to have the KVM module reprogramed berfore you can programe the keys.

So with a failed boot sensor, the car will never lock on the fob! The fob can be set to open all doors together on one press of the fob or driver’s door and boot only on first press and other doors on a second press.
