Why does the open door light stay on when all doors are shut?
If there is no continuity then the switch is faulty. If all door switches test ok then the fault most probably lies within the tailgate latch. Early models had a separate switch attached to the latch unit while later ones have the switch built in.

Why does my Silverado Tell Me the passenger door is open?
My 08 SIlverado has been periodicaly telling me when i put it in drive that the passenger door is open, when it’s not. I’ve tried alot of things but can’t fix the issue.
