Where are the lights on the dashboard located?
Most vehicles have a dashboard lights control switch that will dim the dashboard lights, as well as turn them off. Check the control switch, which should be located on the console near the steering column or part of the headlight switch. Tail lights and dash lights are connected through the tail light (and/or brake light) fuse.

Why are my brake lights not working but my tail lights are?
Damaged or disrupted wiring can cause tail lights not to work, but brake lights are. The two lightings use different wiring as each bulb has got its power supply. A recent accident at the tail end of your car can increase the likelihood of this problem.

Are there parking lights and no tail lights?
However the dash, tail and parking lights still do not come on. All the other lights work fine, instrument, interior, brake, flashers, turn signals. Just no tail lights, parking lights or dash lights. Fuses are fine as are the bulbs. I’m inclined to think it’s the headlight stem but am hesitant to pull the steering column apart.
Why are my tail lights not working but brake lights are working?
Burnt out light bulbs – The other reason your tail lights are not working but your headlights are maybe a blown bulb. When the filament inside the bulb breaks it cannot illuminate the gas enclosed within the glass cover. This burnt-out bulb does not affect the circuitry of the light system and it continues to function normally.

Why are my tail lights and marker lights not working?
My tail lights, marker lights, and license plate lights are not working. Brake lights, signals, headlights, hazards all work fine. I’ve replaced both the fuses and that hasn’t fixed the problem. Diagram shows a Tail and Illumination relay and I thought it might be that but the illumination on the dash works fine.
