Why does my Toyota Avensis make a grinding sound?

When you’re at cruising speed, you can hear a grinding or whining sound coming from the car (usually the front of the car). The Avensis is notorious for clutch issues. The sound that you can hear is being caused by a worn clutch, so it will need to be replaced with one of our options as soon as possible.

Why does my Chevy Avensis smell like fuel?

This will not store any personal information) The Avensis has known problems with the DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) getting blocked up. If this gets blocked up you may smell fuel in the cabin. Other symptoms include: the car may run very roughly and/or issues with the car stalling. You can unblock the DPF to sort the problem.

Why does my Avensis have condensation in the headlights?

The Avensis is prone to condensation build up in the headlights. This is a particular problem on colder mornings. Even when you have the headlight lens re-sealed, the condensation can re-appear. One suggestion to this problem is to drill a couple of small holes at the bottom of the lens to allow any water build up to drain out.

Why is my CD player not working on my 2002 Avensis?

My 2002 Avensis has a different problem. The radio/navigation system works fine, but the CD player is not working (If I push the CD player switch and CD ejection button nothing happens). There is no error message on the display. Does anyone know if the CD player and radio use different fuses?

Don’t forget, the stereo will have two supplies. One permanently live to keep the memory etc, and one that is activated when the ignition is on. Traditionally stereos will share the same permanent supply as other dashboard items, and the ignition switched supply can be on it’s own fuse.
