Are there any continuous Def problems with Mercedes Sprinters?
Each of them have been the shop multiple times for the same problems. Chk Eng/Chk DEF/10 Starts Remaining. Mercedes and Freightliner can not seem to solve the problems. They just throw parts at the problem and send you on your merry way, only to have the same problem occur a day/week/month later.
What are the parts that need to be replaced in a sprinter?
Most of the time the parts replaced are (in order) NOX Sensors, Upstream Temp Sensor, DEF Dosing Valve, SCR (catalytic converter) and an occasional EGR Valve. Of course, all of these problems start AFTER the emissions warranty has expired.
Is the 2015 MB sprinter a Class B RV?

Since van was still under warranty, no worries. They kept van for 3 days to wait for parts. After 3 days, they called, said van was fixed. All parts ok they just reset with new code from MB. Told me to top off DEF every 5000 mi.

I then got an error countdown 16 starts remaining. I then went to the dealer and got enough DEF to totally top off my tank. The counter is still counting down. I called the dealer he said the car needs to be brought in and NOX sensors changed [$700 eash] plus reprogramming. Overall about $1800. OUCH.
Is the Class 8 truck not as bad as your sprinter?
3 weeks later… ganto: Many of the Class 8 trucks have problems but not as bad as your Sprinter. This is what happens when a Gov. agency ( Carb and EPA) place unreasonable demands on the manufacturers. The pollution equipment will work one day. But it could take a few years. I agree with what you said.
