It’s not unusual to see an alligator on East Lake Tohopekaliga. But city officials say most of those sightings are in a marshy area near the city’s retention pond adjacent to Lakefront Park, which sits on the lake’s southern shore. City signs posted on the beach warn visitors about alligators.

East Lake Tohopekaliga is located in Central Florida in Osceola County. It is nine miles from the City of Kissimmee and just minutes from SeaWorld Orlando. The lake has direct access to Highway 192 and Florida’s Turnpike. The lake is known for its beautiful landscape and water with clear visibility of seven to nine feet.
