Are the GMC Acadia and Chevy Traverse the same?
The GMC Acadia and Chevrolet Traverse are crossovers intended for different use cases. Both have three rows of seats, but the Acadia is sized closer to a midsize SUV while the Traverse goes big—more like a high-riding minivan than conventional SUV.
Can a GMC traverse go into AWD mode?
Thanks for the insight. On some 2008-2010 Enclave; 2007-2010 Equinox, Acadia; 2007-2009 Torrent, OUTLOOK; 2008-2009 VUE; 2010 Terrain; and 2009-2010 Traverse models equipped with All-Wheel Drive, the All-Wheel Drive System may become inoperative with a Service All-Wheel Drive (Service AWD) light On.
Why is my GMC Acadia in two wheel drive?
There may be other various conditions related to a low battery, such as but not exclusive to a no crank or slow engine crank condition or the vehicle may have been jump-started recently. The vehicle is still operational in two-wheel drive mode. Technicians may find DTC C0550 set as a current or history DTC in the Clutch Control Module (CCM).
Is the traction control off on my Acadia?
By all means, keep us updated on the operation of your Acadia and don’t hesitate to contact us if any further concerns arise. I am having the issue of “TRACTION CONTROL OFF, SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL, SERVICE STABILTRAC, AWD OFF” first intermittently now permanently. There is no CEL.

Can you take the transmission out of a GMC Acadia?
There’s no way you could take out the transmission itself from the bottom of the car. My plan was to remove the subframe and just take the tranny out the bottom, while keeping the engine in place. My dad has the equipment to suspend the engine. I’ll try and find the post about taking it out the top.
