What happens if my dog eats a Nylabone?
If you think your dog has eaten some or all of a Nylabone, you should contact the nearest open veterinarian for advice. If Nylabones are swallowed they can get stuck and cause damage or a blockage that can be fatal, so prompt action is essential.
Can dogs ingest Nylabones?
They are NOT intended for consumption. During normal chewing, tiny bristle-like projections are raised that help clean teeth. If these tiny pieces (no larger than a small grain of rice) are ingested, they should pass through. A dog should not be able to break off larger pieces of any Nylabone® Non-Edible Chew.
