Had a K75s with ABS for nine years. Far smoother than it’s big brother K bikes (until the K1200), the K75s is dependable, comfortable, somewhat sporty for its time, and an all around wonderful bike. Like others who once owned them, I’d love to have mine back again.

How many miles does a 1985 BMW K100 have?
1985 BMW K100 (1000cc) with 8,300 miles on it!!!!!!!! Rare bike with unheard of low miles. In looking around at other bikes for milage I have yet to see one with less then 16,000. I have seen them with as many as 100K.
Is the BMW K100 still in good condition?
The rubber in the handlebars are still in very good condition and take a lot of the vibration and other discomforts sometimes experienced on older bikes. The bike leans well in turns and can comfortably get pegs close to ground. It shifts very smoothly and the brakes work great.

How is the oil level measured on a BMW K100?
The oil level on the K100 is not measured by means of a conventional dip stick. On the right-hand lower engine block is a “sight glass” which has a large red circle and a dot in the middle of it. The upper and lower portions of the circle represent the upper and lower oil level limits respectively.
