Why wont my Mercedes accelerate?

Why does my Mercedes Benz not accelerate at low speeds?
It just seemed to accelerate slower than normal. If I pushed the pedal down, the rpms would go up but the engine would not accelerate to match the rpms. Under low speeds (35mph) and easy/slow acceleration it seemed to drive fine. AND the check engine light came on when the car surged and decelerated.
What happens when a car loses its acceleration?
As the car was reaching 50mph, the car surged forward and began to decelerate. I let off the pedal and slowed down to about 35-40 mph and noticed the car seemed to have lost its power to accelerate (not completely). For the most part it was driving fine.
Why is my car losing power at low speeds?
If the pressure is low the fuel injectors will not be able to spray the correct amount of fuel into the combustion chamber and that will result in a loss of power. A faulty fuel pump will not pose problems at low speeds but when you are looking for quick acceleration you might be left wanting.
What causes no power when accelerating loss of power?
A faulty throttle position sensor can most certainly duplicate all of the symptoms that your Mercedes is experiencing, however a faulty fuel pump or even a defective mass airflow sensor can be the cause to these issues too.
