Why is the rear cylinder not working on a Harley Davidson?
Start the engine. If the rear cylinder is still the only one that is working, the ECM or ignition module is the problem. But if the front cylinder now becomes the one that is working & the rear cylinder is the dead one,,, that tells you the coil is bad. This is similar to a problem a friend is having with his 2005 Springer.

Start the bike, take a can carb cleaner and spray the intake manifold by the head on the rear cylinder, if the bike stalls it’s leaking. A new set of gaskets will take of that. plug wires ??? If it is dropping the cylinder when getting hot, then I’d suspect either the coil or the ignition module are failing with heat.
What causes a cylinder to pop on a dual fire?
On a dual fire, wasted spark ignition, it would effect both cylinders, not just one. Suspect manifold gasket and or timing. Timing just doesn’t jump on these unless the timing plate walks. If that happens then it is off no matter what the engine temp.
