Why is the COMAND screen on my Mercedes E320 blank?
Just now, I was checking something on the car, and the COMAND screen was blank (totally blacked out) when I turned it on. I tried turning it off, and back on, switching between different functions (CD, NAV, AM/FM, TEL) but none of these had any effect. I have only owned this 2001 E320 for about 5 months.

Why is the navigation screen on my Mercedes GLC black?

How do you turn off the COMAND in a Mercedes?
The radio will turn off. Once you close the door wait a couple of seconds and then by touching the door handle the car will lock. You can unlock the car remote, get in and by pressing the “on” button on the Comand the radio will turn on, without the key being in the car or close to it. Once you are in and you close the door the radio remains on.
