Why is my duo thermo fan not working?

Why is my duo thermo fan not working?

Compressor runs and fan does not. Also the ac unit runs even when the thermo is in the off position. I moved this unit from the front ( where it worked fine ) to the rear spot and put a new 15k Brisk Air II up front.

Why does my car fan buzz but not start?

Often when the fan buzzes but doesn’t start and then starts when you give it a nudge and/or it starts only when switched to hi speed , suspect the starting capacitor. If the fan doesn’t start at all , use an ordinary ohmmeter to check continuity at the plug end while switched to different speed settings.

Why is the fan on my RV not working?

Depending on the type of RV AC unit you have, the bearings on your fan or AC motors may be sealed and self lubricating. But this does not mean that rust or corrosion does not get on some of the parts. Rust and corrosion can stop a fan blade from spinning.

Do you turn the radiator fan on or off?

The coolant temp has to be hot for the fan to come on. Yes, the fan will come on when you turn the A/C on, so that proves the fan works. Leave the A/C off for the rest of the test. Start your vehicle, and let it idle for 10-15 minutes.

What to do if your car fan won’t start?

If the fan doesn’t start at all, use an ordinary ohmmeter to check continuity at the plug end while switched to different speed settings. If there is a reading check to see if the reading changes slightly when switching between different speeds. If readings are obtained it indicates that the coil wires are ok.

Why are my radiator fans not turning on?

Unplug the coolant temperature sensor while the engine is running. This should cause the fans to turn on low then kick to high, IIRC. Typically when the engine computer loses the signal from the coolant temp sensor, it just turns both fans on high so the engine will not overheat. IIRC if you ground the gauge wire, the gauge should go to full scale.
