Why does my WRX wagon not start up?

Why does my fuel pump not prime when I turn it on?
Pulled fuel pump relay and put in a jumper wire to run the fuel pump and it started. Put the fuel pump relay back in and it starts and drives, but the fuel pump still doesn’t prime when turning the key on. I’m afraid that after sitting overnight, it will once again refuse to start.
What’s the name of the car that wont start?

If you dont hear the fuel pump run, have someone lay under the car with a rubber mallet or something by the gas tank. try starting the car, if it DOESNT start while cranking, have the person give the tank a few whacks with the mallet while youre still cranking the motor over and see if it starts. if it starts, i would say you have a bad pump.
