Why does my windscreen wiper stop in the wrong place?
If this is sticky or seizes, the motor control gets confused and stops the blades in the wrong place. Some WD40 on the two linkage pivots might be worth a go. (This happened on my old car, but caught it too late, and the motor was stuffed by that point!). Happened on my old Escort when the bolt securing the linkage worked loose.
