Why does my truck shake in overdrive?
The vibration happens because the power coming out of the engine is not smooth. Every time a cylinder fires, the crankshaft is accelerated. For street rods the magic number for smooth running in overdrive seems to be a minimum of 1,800 engine rpm with 2,100-2,300 rpm at 55-65 mph a good goal.

I have the exact same thing going on with my 2006 CC/SB (87K miles). It seems to be worse when the truck is running between 45 and 55 MPH and in overdrive. I’ve had the tires (new 5000 miles ago) rebalanced by 2 difference shops and still no better than before.

Why does my Ford F350 have vibration at 45 mph?
Had new BFG A/Ts at 30K and after the first tire rotation it started. They rebalanced the wheels, nothing. I have had the wheels rotated several times and the tires rebalanced again and still have the vibration. They recommended replacing the steering stabilizer, that did nothing. I now have 52K miles on it (F350).
