Why does my Tacoma not have an accessory fuse?
It’s possible someone just forgot to plug the outlets in the last time it was off… I neglected to mention that my tacoma is 1995/96. There doesn’t seem to be an accessory relay in the fuse box under the hood. So I’m still open to suggestions.

Is there a relay for a cigarette lighter?
I can’t find any relays for the cigarette lighter socket –if there are any for my model (late 95) . Every fuse in the truck seems to be OK. Take the socket out and see if there is 12V at the plug (connector). Now that you have the socket out, use your meter and find out where the continuity stops.

How can you tell if an accessory power outlet is bad?
Determine If the Outlet Is Bad Try a different accessory with the outlet. Accessory power outlets are protected by a fuse in a fuse block. If the fuse is OK and you didn’t find any breaks or shorts in the wiring, it is safe to suspect the outlet itself.
What causes an accessory to not turn on?
If the second accessory does power on, the problem is the original accessory and not the outlet. If both accessories fail to turn on in the outlet, the outlet is probably the culprit.

If you have a late model GM vehicle and turn the key only to hear nothing, you’ll most likely think you have a dead battery—and you may.
