Why does my Suzuki df90a have a rough idle?

Why does my Suzuki df90a have a rough idle?

I have two 2010 DF90As and earlier in the fall the stbd motor started to develop a low, rough sounding idle, but the tach would still read the normal 500-600RPMs. Over the course of a few trips I would get bubbling from the thru-prop exhaust and small oily bubbles coming thru as well.

Why does my bike engine not rev up?

You can have fuel in the pilot circuit but if the air supply is blocked off, then engine would not rev up. On my carbs, the pilot jet air comes in through a hole at the carb front, goes down through a hole in the bowl gasket, along a passageway, and mixes with the pilot jet in the bowl.

What’s the idle rate on a 2010 df90a?

Hello, just joined and first post as I am troubleshooting a frustrating idle issue. Thank you for any help or ideas you can offer! I have two 2010 DF90As and earlier in the fall the stbd motor started to develop a low, rough sounding idle, but the tach would still read the normal 500-600RPMs.

Can a bike run and idle at the same time?

It runs perfectly and idles with choke off within seconds….A thermal sensor shows that both plugs, and cylinder heads are functioning at the same temp. The engine will run and idle on only 1 cylinder at a time if I want.

What causes a motorcycle to stall at idle?

Extremely lean motors can also stall out completely when given some light throttle. Another sign of lean running is the “hunting idle” where the motorcycle revs up randomly, changes RPMs, or takes forever to come down to idle.

How can I tell if my idle control valve is working?

To check if an idle control valve is working properly, start by turning on your engine and letting it run for a minute or 2. Then, when it’s at an idling speed, take note of the RPMs in your car. Next, turn the engine off and disconnect the idle control motor under your hood.

Can a bad throttle position sensor cause idle surging?

Idle surging can be caused due to other issues in the car, but if it happens in conjunction with other throttle position sensor symptoms, the culprit is often the TPS. At idle, the ECM will not get the correct information and the throttle will variate randomly causing idle surges. 3) Check Engine Light

What causes idle surges on a car ECM?

Why is my Suzuki df140 power loss at high RPM?

Change the fuel bulb/line before spending any big money. Had the same problem with a DT140 that sat idle for long periods $850 later I found out it was the fuel bulb breaking down on the inside and choking off the check valve under high flow demand.

Why is my Suzuki outboard engine bogging at 3000 rpm?

No announcement yet. I did some searching here on the forum for issues similar to mine, and it seems most everyone is having a bogging issue throughout all RPM ranges or their engines are bogging around 3000 RPM’s which could indicate a faulty neutral safety switch. My issue is a bit different.

When does vibration occur on a Harley Davidson?

The vibration only occurs when in gear, in neutral you can rev it to the top, release the throttle and it comes down smooth as silk. I have had the bike in 3 different Harley dealer shops and none of them know or seem to care what the problem is. If I cannot solve the problem I have to get another ride.

How can I tell if my Harley Davidson sprocket is loose?

Open up the inspection cover and pry the sprocket in both directions while watching the rotor , they should both move together . If the sprocket moves in either direction but the rotor doesn’t then the nut is loose . I’d start by looking at the primary chain tension.

What happens when the Idle is high on a Harley Davidson?

Strange that there are no historical codes since you did say you saw the check engine light come on. (Could be you went through 50 key cycles with no engine issues) When you get off the interstate & the idle is high,,, if you were to power it off and restart the bike, does the idle calm down or does it resume the high idle.

Which is the fast idle or the eitms?

The fast idle is definitely the EITMS, and they urged me not to turn it off. They had an issue with a local PD that turned all of their bikes’ EITMS systems off, and they were bringing them in for service constantly. They found that turning the system off caused their issues.

Is there a Harley Davidson that doesn’t wobble?

Please remember Harley Davidson will state there product will not wobble at “legal posted speeds” The death wobble you refer to is not on the newer 2009 and up frames. I had an 06 Ultra and it had the wobble but I never did anything for it other than avoiding high speed curves on bad pavement.

How can I tell if my idle control motor is working?

Look for a difference in idle speed. Allow the engine to run for a minute so it settles to a consistent idle, then take note of any difference in the idle RPMs versus the idle you observed earlier. If the idle has not changed at all, it’s likely because your idle control motor has not been functioning.

Can a bad idle control valve cause stalling?

This is controlled by the engine’s computer. Sometimes parts go bad, which results in your car idling strangely or stalling. Check to see if your idle control valve is functioning properly before attempting to replace it. Look for a high engine idle. A common symptom of a faulty idle control valve can be a high idle.

Why does the Check Engine light come on when the engine is idle?

The check engine light in your vehicle is designed to turn on if the Engine Control Unit (ECU) identifies an issues with how the engine is running. Look at your dashboard; if the check engine light is on in conjunction with idle issues, it may be because the idle control valve is malfunctioning.
