What to do if your ignition switch fails?
Tried stepping on brake, turning steering wheel, etc. Called the Pontiac dealer & was told the actual switch was not in the recent recall. Spent $198 & luckily someone at work replaced it. If not I would have had to have the vehicle towed to dealer & paid extreme amount. Key wont turn. Pass lock light not lit. All 5 ignition fuses are good.

Is the battery on my Grand Am GT 2005 Dead?
I bought my Grand Am GT 2005 a 2 months ago. It has been an excellent car up until about a week ago when intermittently, the battery would be dead when I went to start it (even if it was only shut off an hour earlier). I took it to a repair shop and they diagnosed it as a simple dead battery.
