When you have resoldered every pad, let the board cool, and treat the connector socket with the Deoxit… make sure yiu get it into the holes in the connector, and carefully treat the pins in the other half of the PCM where this connecter plugs into.

Why are my Jeep PCM screws too long?
Some units have come frome the factory with screws that were too long, and eventually due to vibration shorted the unit out. I replace them with shorter sheet metal screws as standard operating procedure to avoid this issue, since I never ran into this personally.
This is also causing the heated seats/heated steering wheel functions not to work. I cannot not use the center knobs to adjust the Radio volume, Eco mode, Nav system, A/C, Heat, Auto control, etc.; this has happened three times. The first time was when the Jeep was fairly new.

Hopefully somebody will still read this thread!…But I have a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Had the same problem just occur, all buttons on steering wheel and touchscreen work fine except for the center controls underneath the touchscreen. Tried this fix above (pulling and putting back the F49 fuse) and had no success.

I think its a cold reset of the integrated control system, by pulling the fuse one disconnects it from power, same effect would be done with disconnecting it from the battery and have a cold reset right there. The Touch Screen works fine, but the center control knobs underneath the touch screen are not working. This is also causing the heated seats/heated steering wheel functions not to work.

It mainly did it going up hill or at around 40 mph at 1300 rpms. Just like the WK2 guys with the 3.6 engine. They are experiencing something similar with having to adjust the way they drive due to lack if power and not so good tuning. It’s going to surge/buck regardless what you do because of lack of power and tunning.

It also feelsl ike ive been getting less power in higer speeds. The car idles and drives perfectly at slower speeds but on the highway you can really feel the pulses and hear the exact making sounds. The only way to get the pulsing to stop is to give the jeep more gas.
