Why does my Honda shake when I accelerate?
When the inner CV joint is damaged or begins to fail, you will notice your car vibrating under hard acceleration. As it gets worse, the minor vibrations turn to violent shaking when under load. Damaged CV joints usually occur because of a tear in the joint boot. The only fix is to completely replace the CV joint.
Why does my Honda make vibration when I accelerate?
Ok Honda called and they finally got it to make the vibration. They assured me it was not a tire balance issue because you can’t just “drive out of” a tire imbalance. Basically he was saying that they vibration would go away if you continued to accelerate but not with mine if you just hit the gas it is then gone.
When does the vibration in Honda Odyssey subside?
Hard vibration starts at around 61mph and subsides at just over 70mph. Worse when going up hill. I think tires and such are ruled out since while its vibrating, if you take your foot off the throttle, it immediately stops. I figure if it were tires/rotors, it would continue regardless the engine load.
Why does my Honda Odyssey shake when accelerating?
I have a 2005 Honda Odyssey with 201000 miles. At speeds above 60mph there is a heavy vibration from the front wheels. It is gets worse when accelerating and will smooth out immediately upon lifting off the gas pedal. I put new tires on it about 5,000 miles ago. It’s my wife’s daily driver so I am not sure when the problem started.
Why does my Honda CRV shake when I let off the gas?
You should feel a vibration as you let off the gas, although it may not be as pronounced. The motor mount is responsible for connecting the Honda CR-V’s motor to the chassis. It also needs to absorb a significant amount of vibration.

What causes vibration when accelerating to 60 mph?
Had the same problem when accelerating between 55 – 60MPH. While the boots were not torn, grease managed to sift through. No more vibrations. I had the same problem and vibration gone after replacing the both drive shafts. You say Vibration gone after replacing the both drive shafts.
